They are crooks!I am in Duval County, and I was approached by them the end of last April. Unfortunately, I was scammed. I thought I was getting a dependable, up to date security system, but my whole experience has been a nightmare. I ended up without AC for a week due to shoddy installation, they wanted to blame it on my AC unit, then wanted me to pay them $400 to have an HVAC tech come look at it…I called my own person, and it turns out their installation person neglected to return the electrical breaker to the correct position after he came to reposition the main unit that was hanging at an angle on my wall. Can you believe that?Well, they did pay for the service call, and they should have; however, I’ve had ongoing problems aside from that for the last 4 months – since they put the cheap crap in. The last straw was a malfunctioning timer device installed to one of my lights.

The alarm panel will communicate with the ARC in the event of alarm activation. The ARC will then notify either the appropriate key holders for the property or the police, depending on the arrangement and other factors. An annual fee is charged for alarm monitoring, this is typically paid directly to the alarm company. Home security alarms requiring police response must meet certain standards including installation of a graded alarm system installed to British and European Standards and an annual maintenance contract from an approved alarm company. If the police were called to 2 false alarms in a rolling 12 month period the response will be downgraded to a lower level of police response. If further false activations occur the police response will be revoked. To prevent this eventuality, ARC's are required to receive two alarm events within a certain timeframe to initiate a Police response. Your personal habits can also play a role in home security. The Ill encourages homeowners to routinely lock doors and windows and arm the alarm system when exiting your home. If you’ll be gone awhile, the III suggests giving the appearance that your home is occupied: Leave blinds in their usual positions, make a plan to defer mail and other deliveries, and use light timers in various areas of the home smart home devices can help with this task. Another tip from the III: Remove house keys when leaving keys with a parking attendant.

As a matter of fact, we need to address this growing problem now if we ourselves hope and expect to look forward to golden years of pleasantry and security. Financial protection for seniors should be made a priority and it should be at the top of the priority list for everyone. For make no mistake about it, do nothing and we may as well say goodbye to financial stability. Do something now and it can only stand to benefit all. We need to be thinking about the future of generations to come. We need to take steps to stamp out elder abuse now for if we do not then tomorrow's generation will have much less to look forward to.
